We are excited to announce that Planned Parenthood will be providing 15 free workshops (2hrs/ea) for Adults in Spanish at NEW's FamilySource Center in Canoga Park to educate on issues of the following topics for their personal growth and well being:
- Self-Esteem
- Communication Skills
- The Components of Sexuality
- Values & Sexuality
- How to Speak to your Children about Sexuality
- Sexual Human Anatomy
- Birth Control Methods
- Sexual Transmited Infections (S.T.I.'s)
- HIV/AIDS
- Prenatal Care
- Women's Health
- Domestic Violence
- Tobacco and Alcohol: Its Impact on the Family
- Drug Prevention
- Child Abuse
Workshops will be starting next Monday July 26, 2010 from 2:30-4:30pm. Space is limited so please refer any families to the FamilySource by Saturday, 7/24/10. To enroll in the FSC, customer must come in to our center and provide proof of address and income prior to workshop date. To obtain a certificate of completion customers must attend all 15 workshops but customers may only attend one or a few they just will not obtain a certificate at the end.
